ScriptExchange is a pharmacy marketplace connecting practices with participating pharmacies. It does not compound, dispense, package, store, ship, deliver, replace, or refund medication. Those responsibilities remain with the participating pharmacy that accepts an order.
What the workspace records
The workspace records the operational state reported by the participating pharmacy or its configured system. The supported lifecycle includes draft, validated, submitted, received, in process, shipped, delivered, rejected, and cancelled states. A displayed state is the information ScriptExchange has received; it is not an independent carrier or delivery confirmation.
Controlled-substance prescriptions are not supported. The Platform refuses an order for a product marked with a DEA schedule before transmission.
Tracking and notifications
Tracking appears only when the dispensing pharmacy supplies carrier information. ScriptExchange does not query carriers directly. Clinic users can review available tracking in the order workspace.
Shipment email is off by default. When a clinic enables it for a patient who wants shipment email, the Platform can send one limited message when an order first reaches shipped status. The email does not include the patient's name or medication. It may include the pharmacy, carrier, tracking number, and a limited tracking link. That link expires 90 days after it is issued.
Delivery timing and destination
The dispensing pharmacy selects the carrier and service level unless the participating organization has configured another available choice. ScriptExchange does not publish or guarantee delivery times. Any historical fulfillment information shown in the product describes recorded past events and is not a service-level commitment.
The clinic enters the shipping address. ScriptExchange does not currently validate or standardize that address against a postal database. Pharmacy licensing, shipping coverage, and fulfillment policies determine whether and how an accepted order can be shipped.
When a shipment needs attention
Questions about an individual shipment should go to the dispensing pharmacy named on the order or to the ordering clinic. A clinic user can also contact support@scriptexchange.com with the ScriptExchange order reference so the platform team can help identify the recorded status and participating pharmacy.
Replacement, refund, return, and medication-disposal decisions are governed by the dispensing pharmacy's policy and applicable law.
